More South Dakota

Luke's favorite part of the trip was of course the 1880's train ride.... and Reptile Gardens.
Jack's was hiking and Crazy Horse.  Selah and actually all of them chose as a favorite the pool at the hotel, every night or afternoon we weren't going somewhere we were here!

South Dakota Trip

Last week we went to South Dakota for a wedding, it is beautiful right now!  Here are some of my favorite pictures from the first three days.
The Badlands was super cool, so pretty!

The lodge we stayed at was in Spearfish and we did some hiking there.

The water was so clear you could see the trout, and we saw some beaver!

Crazy Horse was great, unbelievable how they do this!

So was Mt. Rushmore, Luke now knows all about these four presidents.

Fun first three days!

What did Friday, Saturday, and Sunday have in common?

Football of course!  The league Jack is in got to go on the field at Valley Stadium on Friday night.  Pretty cool for a nine year old!  He is number 18 on the 49'ers.

Then on Saturday Luke had his first flag football game.  I love the mouthpiece!

After church on Sunday we went back to the stadium for Jack's first scrimmage.

Homeschool Chore Day at Living History Farms

Last week we went on another field trip to Living History Farms for chore day.
laundry.....
candy and coonskin caps.....
spelling bee....
sometimes with a little help from her cousin!
The boys in class, they also got in trouble for wrestling in the back and having candy in the schoolhouse.  I'm pretty sure they would have been switched in 1865.
Jude with the map,  he always had a plan.
Dipping candles.
A horse named Judah!  Thanks for going with us Gurwells!

Trip to Minnesota

Last weekend we took a trip back to Minnesota to visit friends and I am just now getting the pictures up.. it's been a crazy week.  I don't have a lot, the two days we had there flew by.
This was so sweet to see welcoming us, thanks Sam!
Miss Tami and Mr Al were sweet enough to entertain the whole neighborhood along with me and my kids while we were there, it was so nice to see everyone.
What Jack misses so much.
Miss Bekah and Mr Wade had us over too for a night, and hosted a dessert party so we could catch up with homeschool friends.  It was a whirlwind visit but so great to be back for a few days.

Football Season

Jackson is in pads this year, he (and his Daddy) love all of the equipment involved.
Tough guy
Last night guess who got to use our Iowa State season tickets?  Luke and Selah!  Brad was on call and I had to bring Jack to his football practice so Luke and Selah went with Grandma and Grandpa.  Selah was so excited about her cheerleader uniform, I guess Luke loved it too, I was watching on t.v.
Don't you hate it when your puppy interrupts your photo shoot?
Back to posing.
