Jack's 1st Sleepover!

Jackson cashed in 100 of his chore tokens to have a sleepover this last weekend. Sam, Calvin, Kaden, and Mathew came over Saturday night. For dinner he requested ham and cheese sandwiches so Brad set up Jack's favorite resturaunt Subway in our kitchen and took orders from the boys! Of course there was football! I counted 14 kids at one time playing! Tami was out watching with me during this so I wasn't as nervous about Sam climbing on top of the swingset! Movie next! We got Facing the Giants for the boys to watch (and Selah). Lucy caught on quickly while there are this many kids she had a good chance of getting some dropped kernals! After the movie they built a fort in Jack's room and were all in bed by 11:00, not bad for 5 boys!

Luke's Photo shoot

Luke found my camera and took a few pictures so I thought I would post a couple of my favorites!  How do you think he asked Selah to pose in this picture?
Sweet big brother reading the princess stories! He really captured the moment didn't he? Close up to show her adorable expression, nice job Luke! And now his favorite subject, trains!  I am especially impressed how he held his trains just the way he wanted AND took the picture.  See his little fingers? And this is Bill, or is it Ben?  I will go ask Luke.  Nice photo shoot buddy,  I think this is a natural talent!

Selah's New Bike

Selah's new princess bike! She does such a great job Her favorite part of her new bike is the bag on front that can hold all of her princesses and ponies! She stuffed it as full as she could. "See Momma, do you see my princesses, take a picture of them!" "This is my favorite, take her picture!" Now she can keep up with the boys!

Our Brave Knight

So yesterday Jack was playing with Selah "Knights and Princesses" He is her brave knight and he really got into it! Every part of his outfit had a purpose! Notice the long hair piece, they did have long hair you know! This was his reference book that he studied before he put his look together. Oh yes we even went outside and his bike was his horse and he used the pool noodle lance we had from his birthday party. His helmet has been replaced by a Dallas Cowboys helmet for outdoors of course. By the way I had two different neighbors call me to ask if I had gotten pictures! He also had to add the baseball cap under the helmet, it was bright outside you know. I love the sandals too, very historically accurate! He used the tree out front for his castle and had all of his weapons and shield propped up in the branches, that was harder to get a picture of but I do have it on video!

Luke with no training wheels!

I know I already posted some pictures of Luke riding his bike with no training wheels, but these are with Monica's camera so no blur! He is full force riding all over now, even starting out on his own. He has run into a couple of bushes and poles on accident but just laughs and gets right back on, if only we could all learn with such little frustration! By the way I did get him a new helmet at Target last night (Thomas blue!) because his old one was too small so we are riding safe as of last night! Do you see my pretty mums Brad got me this weekend? I love fall!

Jack's big football game!

So my neighbor Monica let me borrow her sweet new camera this morning for Jack's game and Brad took some great pictures including complete coverage of Jack's 1st touchdown this year! First he hikes the ball to his coach... Then the handoff... do you see Jack? He is the only one with official football pants, so you should be able to find him! You can't touch me boys, I am out of here! Touchdown!!!!! Hooray for Jack! His buddy Kaden was on the other team today, still friends after the game!

Playing Outside

Selah and Luke have taken to climbing our tree in the front yard, they have watched Jack all summer I think and decided they wanted to try it out! The leaves have a head start in falling on this tree, that is the game to see how many you can reach and pull off! Luke has also decided to ride without his training wheels! I cannot believe he is old enough to do this! He has almost made it around the cul-de-sac by himself. He is still running himself into the grass on purpose for a safe landing! Way to go Luke! He has grown up so much this summer!

Cowboys Fans!

Brad got the boys cowboys uniforms and we gave them to the boys last weekend for doing so well with their chores the last few weeks. We were going to give them to them for Christmas but Brad informed me football season would be over! Of course what was I thinking? Luke is full force into football now that he has the outfit to go with it! Jack wears his every day that it is clean, wherever we go! Really, anywhere! They loved them so much look what happened when we checked on the boys at bedtime! I made Brad take off the helmets, it can't be safe to sleep in that can it?

Renaissance Festival

Last weekend we went to the Renaissance Festival which is like a Medieval Knights Fair up by the cities. This is our little butterfly, she sat so nice to have her face painted and kept wanting to see herself in the mirror. She had the paint on for two days, we were careful in the tub! Luke passed on the face painting and settled for a blue balloon snake, it did pop however a few minutes later. Jack's favorite thing by far was the real jousting that they did. Our section's guy won the jousting but lost the sword fighting. We got there late and had terrible seats so no pictures of that. (Jack snuck up front and saw it better than us, so I should have given him the camera!) Selah chose the elephant to ride instead of a horse and Luke and I went with. It was really cool, we touched his ears and his head during the ride, I had never been on an elephant! Luke was smiling the entire time, and on the way home in the car when everyone was quiet he said after thinking for awhile, "I rode on an elephant today." Here is Daddy and Luke on the camel, Jack, Selah, and I had just finished our ride so I couldn't get off the platform for a better shot.
