Boysen's Visit

Last week during their spring break we were lucky enough to have the Boysen's come for a few days.  I had some very happy kids at my house!

Brady and Sam did so well with Tucker, and he really loved being with them, I told Tami she could leave the boys for a few weeks and I could get a lot done around the house!
Thanks for coming guys!  It's bittersweet spending time with those you miss so much!

Selah's Meet

Selah had a gymnastics meet today, the boys got to watch her event for a change!

Thanks for the flowers Grandma and Grandpa!

I wanted some sweet pictures of her after the meet on the deck, this was what I got, she of course thinks this picture is hilarious and it is her favorite one.

Visiting the Grandmas

This week we took a trip up to NW Iowa to visit my Grandmas. Our city kids had fun playing on the hay bales behind the hotel!

The trip also involved a stay at a hotel with a sweet pool.

It was nice to see my Grandmas and some aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Trip to the Rockies

Last week we went on a trip to Keystone to do some skiing, the kids were super excited to be in the Rockies.
The big boys on the mountain.
At Keystone they have a really cool snow fort for the kids to play on way on top of the mountain, we took a gondola ride up so everyone could play.
One day we also went snowshoeing, our tough kids did a 2 1/2 mile hike!  I didn't even notice Selah catching snowflakes when I took this picture, but I love it.
Setting the camera timer on a post so everyone could get in the shot, Jack is an expert at this!  Brad made that big trail so Jack could hustle back in time.
 Cool guy.
This was the view from our condo, so pretty.
Ski school!  They all took an all day lesson, Selah loved it, especially the snacks.

Selah is coming down her "mountain" she did really well.
Lukey, he liked the lessons okay but didn't want to go again the next day. He did say once he can ski the double blacks here he will go to the Alpine mountains and ski down a glacier, then maybe even the Himalayas!  Did I mention now he loves geography?
Jack and Brad took off skiing the next day, someday we will all be able to go together!  For now one by one they can join Brad and we'll see if I can still ski by the time Tucker is ready!

A Little Basketball

The season is in full swing.  Jack would play every day if he could.

Luke started basketball this year too and he is really excited, Jack and Luke are so different.  Luke is not nearly as aggressive as Jack but he wants to perfect each part of the game.  It is so exciting when he makes a basket!

Brad thought it would be funny to take pictures of what Tucker and I do during each game.
Now Tucker you aren't going to run on the court again are you?  Let's just watch from here.
Okay sure Momma!
No wait, I have to get out there!
Out to the hall again... one of these Saturdays we need to get a babysitter so I can watch an entire game!

Science Fair

The other week the kids had a science fair I have been wanting to post about.  They all did really well making and presenting their projects.
Layken's tornados, even with video.
Levi did this in one day!  He had been sick but still wanted to do it.
Miss Hostess Ainsley did great too, and of course offered the judges popcorn.
Luke loved this night, any chance to tell other people about penguins!  He demonstrated his experiments to everyone who came by (he called them his customers) and barely left his spot.  He LOVED telling the judges all about it.  The more questions the better for him.  The board is now up in his room to look at every night.
Jack liked doing the experiment and the data, not so much the decorating the board or presenting to the judges, but he did great.

Mr. Handsome to Mr. Sporty

Brad has been mentioning for some time now that Tucker needs a haircut, I have been dragging my feet about it because I love his curls but the other night everyone needed haircuts so....
 goodbye curls!
 Here we go.
No more Mr. Handsome it's Mr. Sporty now and Brad has a mini me!

Excuse the icky nose, he was not happy about his haircut!
